In 1938, Jack Lee Gilbert opened the doors of Gilbert Company and it has been in continuous operation since that time. From humble beginnings on Calhoun Street near downtown Houston, his company has grown steadily over the years and through four generations, thanks in large part to an exceptional record of performance.

The company has always been operated as a family business and is now helmed by the founder’s grandson, Jack L. Gilbert, President and sole owner. Jack’s children are employed at the company, continuing the family legacy into another generation. Jack’s oldest son Leighton Gilbert is a Project Manager for the company and daughter Griffin Gilbert is the Payroll Administrator.

After more than 85 years, Gilbert Company remains an independent, family-owned business, preserving the tradition of unrelenting attention to the smallest detail.
